We act as your outsourced robotics division.
Scope
Our team of engineers will visit your plant to understand the operation and ensure that we can help.
Configuration
Our engineers will configure Chef to your ingredients, your portions, your trays, your placement requirements, and your conveyors.
Deployment
We’ll fly out, deploy the System, train your staff, and do a site acceptance test.
Support
Included in your fee, you get full operational support for your Systems: 24/7 remote support, part replacement, bug fixes, software updates, software upgrades, hardware updates, hardware upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
Success
We’ll be the robotics experts so you don’t need them in-house. We’ll have weekly calls and visit often to ensure that your staff are successfully using the robots. We’ll ensure that utilization is high and help you onboard new ingredients as needed.
You change frequently. Chef is adaptable to frequent changes, including:
To accomodate frequent change, you need flexible AI-enabled automation. Hard automation won't cut it. RaaS allows Chef to evolve with you.
As an AI software-focused company, Chef engineers roll out new AI models, software features, updates, and bug fixes every month that work in tandem with our hardware to:
Improve ingredient-specific deposit consistency to minimize giveaway and maximize yield
Increase ingredient-specific throughput rates
Extend walkaway time
Improve placement into compartments
Improve customer-specific analytics and user experience
Reduce spillage to drive yield
The technology is evolving rapidly. The rapid rate of advancement will bring amazing new capabilities and increases in performance that will help you reduce your costs - mostly through yield improvements. That’s a great competitive advantage if you can keep up.
It's lousy if you find that after a CapEx purchase, your robot is quickly obsolete. How do you protect yourself from making a capital purchase you thought would have a >5 year life only to find that a year or two later that your competitors are outperforming you with the newest robotic technology?
All repair costs (parts and labor) included for breakage that’s not caused by the customer
No design costs, no engineering costs, no part costs, no manufacturing costs, no spare parts cost, no last minute service costs, no travel costs
High software uptime and low response time for bugs
24/7 real-time monitoring to help Chef’s team react as soon as something goes wrong
Local technicians as needed for in-person support through Chef’s partner network of 15,000+technicians around the world
24/7 on-call support via our engineers any time something goes down
Chef has customer success personnel dedicated to each customer.
We’ll be your robotics division so you don’t need one.
We’ll help monitor your operations and help you drive utilization of your robots.
We optimize ingredient configurations to help improve production performance (resulting in higher yield for you and happier customers → less churn). We help you lower standard deviation continually.
Chef has one flat fee for end-to-end service
We know you won’t renew your contract with us or add more robots unless we add value. With a RaaS model, Chef is directly incentivized to deliver benefits to your operations and your bottom line. We are not paid in advance but along the way to deliver what you ask for: throughput for output, consistency for yield, reduced giveaway, and presentation quality for customer satisfaction. Our incentives are aligned. Chef is incentivized to deliver robot improvements that benefit your bottom line to ensure you continue working with us. The same cannot be said for a capital purchase once the vendor has received its large upfront payment.
